Volunteers Trey Swann and Clifton Levine deconstruct a bathroom in a house recently acquired by Habitat Greater Los Angeles and in the process of being rehabbed using Neighborhood Stabilization Program funding. As part of the program, sponsored by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development, Habitat is partnering with seven U.S. affiliates in five states to purchase and rehabilitate foreclosed or abandoned homes and build new homes on vacant lots.
