From 2008 to 2010, U.S.-based volunteers with Thrivent Builds Worldwide worked alongside families in Santa Ana, El Salvador, to create 75 homes and a community called Villa Esperanza. In 2011, Habitat El Salvador took its holistic approach a few miles down the road to Getsemani. Thrivent Builds Worldwide supporters are again partnering with Habitat. During the three-year project, up to 90 Thrivent volunteer teams will work to improve the living conditions of 138 Getsemani families.
